This program features a warm and wonderful collection of songs — both standards and pieces from the pen of prominent jazz composers — that evoke the season of autumn. Although many of the selections are traditionally thought of as ballads, Ed’s innovative arrangements totally re-invent these classics. The resulting styles range from in-the-pocket swing to blazing sambas to sultry ballads. The program is available instrumentally or with guest vocalists, and with orchestrations from trio to symphony pops.
