Ed’s recording, “A Shiny New Christmas,” was the impetus for this program of warm and wonderful holiday music. It featured his sparkling new arrangements of traditional favorites, and upon hearing it, the legendary Perry Como invited Ed to tour with him as music director, featuring Ed and the vocalists as his opening act as well.
After Perry retired, Ed developed “A Shiny New Christmas” for concert presentation in his home town Chicago, where it ran for 3 seasons.
He has now adapted and updated the material in versatile settings ranging from chamber to symphony pops, and will bring his vocal group or use a local choral ensemble.
